[IN A TIME SUCH AS THIS, OUR ABILITY TO REIMAGINE IS ESSENTIAL TO OUR FUTURE]
How might we protect the past from the future and allow generations to come to inherit meaning and experience heritage?
The stories we tell shape the past we create.
The Heritages Futures Lab is a platform for systemic co-innovation that takes participants through a lean and iterative process of rapid prototyping to come up with real solutions that create impact at an environmental, economic and social level.
Leveraging design-thinking methodology and a multi-party innovation lab framework, lead by Business Models Inc, the Lab will be an environment to test and explore innovative solutions and models to reimagine future pathways for Australian heritage. This is an immersive learning exchange that survives by collaboration, mutuality and commitment to exploring aligned areas of opportunity.
WE ARE NAVIGATING THE CONFLUENCE OF PEOPLE, PLACE AND CULTURE - AND THE ROLE OF HERITAGE AT THE INTERSECTION.
COME WITH US ON THE JOURNEY
Lab participants convene around distinct focus areas that present aligned pathways of exploration. We want to hear from you about how you envision the future of heritage in Australia.
How might we build spaces that tell stories, where people discover more through interaction with the physical environment?
How might we experience heritage as an unfolding narrative through arts and culture?
How might we ensure that natural ecosystems are protected and preserved to sustain biodiversity for future generations?
How might we reimagine the impacts of climate change to shape how we can experience ‘the past’ in the future?
How might we champion stories less told to ensure that all people can share in expressions of heritage?
The Lab is comprised of leaders, pioneers, and innovators spanning the spanning the heritage, planning, architecture, development, construction, tourism, and arts sectors. If you’re interested in exploring what heritage means to present and future generations, then we want to hear from you!
